Mithela Group celebrates International Mother Language Day on 21 February

One of the largest textile woven fabrics manufacturing company, Mithela Group celebrates International Mother Language Day on 21 February at their factory premises Shahid Minar in Narayanganj. Azahar Khan Chairman Mithela Group, Sohel Khan MD of Mithela Group, Kayes Khan director of Mithela Group, Mahbub Khan Himel, Director, Mithela Group were also present and their staff honoured the Martyrs’ who died on this day for language.

Mahbub Khan Himel, Director of Mithela Group said, Every year we observed 21 February at our own Shahid Minar.  International Mother Language Day is a worldwide annual observance to promote awareness of Linguistic diversity and cultural diversity and to promote multilingualism.

International Mother Language Day 2023: In 2000, the UN declared February 21 as International Mother Language Day, recognising Bangladesh’s battle and sacrifices made for the mother tongue, Bangla.
