BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Confucius Institute at North South University (NSU) on 31 January 2026. The MoU Signing Ceremony, along with the Chinese Language Course Orientation Program, was organized by the BUFT Chinese Language Club.
The agreement aims to strengthen structured Chinese language education at BUFT, foster cultural exchange, and open avenues for academic collaboration, global exposure, and enhanced career prospects for students.
The program was graced by Ms. Ma Xiaoyan, Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute at NSU; Mr. Xia Daojoi, Third Secretary of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China; and Ms. Sophia, Chinese Teacher at the Confucius Institute, NSU. The MoU was signed by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BUFT; and Ms. Ma Xiaoyan. The ceremony was also attended by Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Vice Chancellor (Designate) of BUFT, and Prof. Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Acting Pro Vice Chancellor of BUFT.
The programs were conducted under the guidance of Mrs. Sumaiya Shondhi, Advisor to the BUFT Chinese Language Club, with enthusiastic participation from students and their guardians.
