Her Excellency Ms. Janna van der Linden, Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands together with a delegation from the Embassy, Solidaridad, and Fair Wear Foundation, visited Ahsan Composite Ltd. As part of their collaborative efforts to promote responsible, sustainable, and circular textile production in Bangladesh. Ahsan Group Ltd Chairman Mr Quamrul Ahsan and Managing Director Mr Ishfaq Ahsan was present during the visit.
The visit focused on demonstrating the factory’s readiness to meet evolving European social and environmental expectations, including traceability initiatives, Digital Product Passport development, environmental performance, and worker welfare practices. The delegation also reviewed Ahsan Composite’s investments in sustainable manufacturing and discussed future opportunities for cleaner, more circular production systems and stronger responsible business practices within the garment industry.
The visit further highlighted the partnership between Ahsan Composite, Solidaridad Network Asia, and Fair Wear Foundation in advancing decent work, human rights due diligence, occupational health and safety, grievance management, and environmental compliance. These areas were presented as key foundations for future collaboration and trade partnerships aligned with European sustainability and due diligence requirements.
