The newly elected committee of the Bangladesh Society for Apparel HR Professionals (BSAHRP) paid a courtesy visit to BGMEA President Faruque Hassan at BGMEA’s PR office in Gulshan, Dhaka on January 4.
BSAHRP President Shahin Mohammad, General Secretary Md. Abul BASHAR, Vice President Md Abul Kalam, Treasurer Md. Kamrul Islam and EC members Md Ismail Hossain, Sadia Afroze, and Umme Afia Akhter were present on the occasion.
BGMEA President Faruque Hassan congratulated the new committee of BSAHRP and expressed hope that the new leadership would play an important role in the development of HR professionals for the RMG sector.
He said the success of an origination hugely depends on efficient manpower and their proper management.
“The garment industry is a labour-intensive sector where HR professionals have a very crucial role to play in managing the workforce properly. They have to choose and place the right people at the right places and manage workers in efficient ways to operate factories smoothly,” he said.
“Our RMG industry has huge potential in the coming days along with myriad challenges. To seize the opportunities we need to enhance the efficiency and productivity of our workforce where HR managers can contribute,” he added.
