Olympic Industries PLC Signs EPC Agreement with Solaric Limited for 1041.76 kWp Rooftop Solar Plant

In a significant step toward sustainable industrial development, Olympic Industries PLC has signed an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreement with Solaric Limited for the installation of a 1041.76 kWp rooftop solar power plant. The initiative reflects a growing commitment within Bangladesh’s industrial sector to integrate renewable energy solutions and reduce environmental impact.

Under the agreement, Solaric Limited will act as the EPC partner, undertaking the comprehensive responsibilities of engineering design, procurement of high-quality components, and construction and commissioning of the solar power system. The rooftop solar plant will be installed at Olympic Industries PLC’s operational sites located in Lolati, Keowdhala, and Kutubpur, enabling the company to harness clean solar energy to support its manufacturing operations.

The EPC model plays a crucial role in accelerating sustainability initiatives by ensuring that renewable energy projects are efficiently designed, responsibly sourced, and professionally implemented under a single integrated framework. Through this approach, industries can ensure optimal system performance, maintain international quality standards, and achieve long-term operational reliability. For large-scale solar installations, EPC partnerships help minimize project risks while maximizing energy output and environmental benefits.

Once operational, the rooftop solar facility is expected to significantly reduce reliance on conventional grid electricity, lowering carbon emissions and contributing to a cleaner energy mix. Such initiatives also align with global climate goals and Bangladesh’s national commitment to expanding renewable energy capacity. By investing in solar infrastructure, Olympic Industries PLC is demonstrating how industrial enterprises can actively contribute to climate resilience while improving long-term energy efficiency.

The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives from both organizations. Mazharul Hasan Khan, Senior General Manager; Satya Ranjan Mondal, FCA, Chief Financial Officer; Mintu Kumar Das, Company Secretary; Ruhidash Chandra Mondal, Advisor to the Chairman; and Md. Ridwanul Haque, Senior Executive – Supply Chain, was present on behalf of Olympic Industries PLC.

Representing Solaric Limited were Nasir Ahmed, Director & CTO; Md. Istiak Islam, Manager (Business Development), and Md. Sayed Mortoza, Assistant Manager, Design & Optimization, along with other officials involved in the project.

Officials from both companies expressed confidence that the collaboration will serve as a benchmark for sustainable energy adoption in Bangladesh’s industrial sector, encouraging more manufacturers to invest in rooftop solar solutions. The project highlights how strategic EPC partnerships can accelerate the transition toward cleaner production systems, reduced carbon footprints, and a more sustainable industrial future.
