Pacific Knitex Limited achieves LEED Platinum Certificate by USGBC

Pacific Jeans Group’s one concern Pacific Knitex Limited has achieved Platinum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certificate for existing building design by U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), an upgrade from the previous gold certificate, according to Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).

The Chattogram-based Pacific Knitex Limited scored 85 in the latest assessment by the United States Green Building Council. With the latest one, Bangladesh becomes the home of 73 LEED-certified platinum factories, where most of them are green garment factories.  Pacific Knitex Limited is the 63rd position. entered in the top 100.

Late Mir Nasir Uddin started the Group in 1984. And it is the pioneer in making premium jeans in Bangladesh, exporting to over 50 countries. Pacific Jeans Group, a leading Bangladeshi apparel exporter, is currently investing $31.75 million to increase production and achieve its goal of reaching the $1 billion export mark within the next five years.
