Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA)signed a MoU with BKMEA

In association with the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, a Pakistani business delegation met with BKMEA leaders and signed an MoU with BKMEA today at the BKMEA head office, Narayanganj.

BKMEA president Mohammad Hatem and Abdul Rehman, chairman (southern zone) of Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers and Exporters Association (PHMA) signed the MoU. The executive president of BKMEA Mr. Fazlee Shamim Ehsan was also present the ceremony.

Ensuring direct exchange of information between the business communities in Bangladesh and Pakistan,
To explore collaborative efforts in addressing business opportunities in both countries, the MoU focused on market conditions, production and technical cooperation as well.

Taking various initiatives to strengthen bilateral economic relations, submitting policy proposals to the governments of both countries to increase economic cooperation, organizing exhibitions, facilitating B2B meetings through business visa recommendations are also the focusing point of the MoU.

Before signing the MoU the delegation visited MS Dyeing Ltd. in Narayanganj BSCIC area and BKMEA president showed them the entire production process.

Appreciating this initiative taken by the Pakistan High Commission, BKMEA president Mohammad Hatem said, Bangladesh is a very suitable place for investment. We are cordial to deal with a healthy trade relation with Pakistan and the government is trying to wipe out all the obstacles to ensure a smoother way. BKMEA is always ready to facilitate this kind of initiative.

Among the delegation and Pakistan high commission Mr. Aamir Reyaz Chottani, chairman, PRGMEA; Waheed Yousaf, COO, Lucky Knits; Hamid Mahmud Ali, director, Mercury group; Muhammad Irfan Akbar, Retail Head, Cambridge Garment Industries; Umer Khan, Manager, Marketing, JB Industries; Shaheed Majeed, Vice president, Crescent Bahuman ltd; Zain Aziz, trade and Investment Attaché, high commission of Pakistan, Dhaka; Waqas Yasin, Commercial Assistant, high commission of Pakistan, Dhaka were also present at the MoU signing ceremony.
