Rakibul Islam Khan, Managing Director of Pakiza Software Ltd. He shared the recent scenario of Pakiza Software Ltd.’s activities and the new year’s business resolution. A brief conversation is given below.

Textile Focus: How was your experience in 2024? There were many ups and downs. Also, what are your plans for 2025 regarding customer satisfaction and reducing operation costs?
Rakibul Islam Khan: Wishing everyone a Happy New Year 2025! The year 2024 was quite challenging for Bangladesh, bringing many changes. However, Alhamdulillah, despite all the obstacles, Pakiza Software had a great year. Our primary target was to develop a new, stable software, and now our ERP system is fully completed with all modules.
Our challenge for the new year is integrating AI into this software. So, it will be another exciting module that we can offer to our clients. Last year, our target was to establish a client base, and Alhamdulillah, we successfully worked with 10 clients in 2024. We are very proud to serve them and always strive to make them happy. In 2025, we plan to work on new apps and software while ensuring better services for our clients so they can reduce their operational costs. Hopefully, 2025 will be a great year for all of us.
Textile Focus: What kind of positive changes do you expect in 2025, and what responses are you receiving from buyers?
Rakibul Islam Khan: Actually, 2024 brought significant changes to our country, impacting the entire world. Due to worker unrest, government changes, and revolutions, we were somewhat concerned and uncertain. As a knit garment producer, we are trying to regain trust. It will be a challenge because our exports declined significantly last year. However, we are hopeful that from the beginning of 2025, our buyers will start coming back and placing orders.
Our main challenge now is to restore buyer confidence, and the entire industry is working on this. Another challenge is the increase in worker wages, which we are overcoming by shifting towards value-added products. Previously, our production consisted of 70% basic products and 30% value-added products. But now, we are marketing at a 50%-50% ratio. By doing this, we aim to reduce operating costs and lower product prices to some extent. We are very optimistic and continuously working to regain buyer confidence. If we succeed in this, we believe we can achieve great things in 2025.
