Panel discussion on Addressing the Triple Earth Crisis: Industry in Action

On September 17, LONGi’s founder and president, Li Zhenguo, joined a prestigious gathering at the Innovation for Industrial Sustainability forum in New York.

Panel discussion on Addressing the Triple Earth Crisis

Attended by global business leaders, academic experts, and United Nations officials, this event took place on the sidelines of the 2023 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit.

During the panel discussion titled “Addressing the Triple Earth Crisis: Industry in Action,” Mr. Li emphasized that energy transition is the cornerstone of climate action. LONGi has revolutionized the photovoltaic sector over the last decade with its monocrystalline silicon technology, reducing global solar power generation costs by over 90%. This transformation has made photovoltaics one of the most cost-effective sources of electricity.

LONGi’s commitment to sustainability and innovation is reflected in our participation in initiatives such as RE100, EP100, EV100, SBTi, and alignment with the 1.5℃ target in the Paris Agreement. We’re proud to be part of this journey towards a greener and more sustainable future.
