Desk Report: A Panel discussion on How to Infuse Trends in Sustainable Fashion was held yesterday at Textile Sourcing Meet 2022 at Hotel Radisson Blu in the Capital. Mr. Sonil Jain, CEO, Sowtex Network moderated the panel discussion where Kyaw Sein Thay (Dolly), Managing Director, Cloths R Us Limited; Abrar Hossain Sayem, President, BAYLA; Mr. Swapan Kumar Saha, Regional office Manager,KGS Sourcing; Mr.Sumit, Krishna Fashion were present as panel speakers.
Speakers said, India as a major sourcing country for raw materials of the apparel industry including yarn, fabric, dying items and machineries. “We also export readymade garments to India. There is a win-win situation for both countries. We have land ports, rail and riverine communications with India. There are huge opportunities to boost bilateral trade through using connectivity. This is the time for virtual market place to strengthen the export destination with diversified garment products.
