The Grand Gala Night and panel introduction of Visionary Alliance marked the beginning of a new platform of Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA), focused on unity, friendship, and collaboration among industry members.
The panel introduction program was graced by the industry’s most senior Buying House owner, AKM Saifur Rahman Farhad, Managing partner wikitex BD, an opening speech by Emdadul Haque Miazi also by the senior leaders of BGMEA, VP Md Mijanur Rahman. Al Shahriar Ahmed, President, BGAPMEA, Md Kamal Uddin, CIP, Managing Director, Torque Group, Chairman, Nasiruddin Ahmed, Md.Kafil Uddin, Rajib Kamrul Islam, MD, Allure Sourcing Ltd, Roman Mia, BGMEA member, Salahuddin Chowdhury.
The leaders emphasized the importance of the buying house industry in the RMG supply chain and called upon all voters to vote for the visionary alliance to build a skilled and experienced Executive Committee of BGBA during the upcoming election.
Panel leader, Abdul Hamid Pintu, wants to support and vote for his panel for 2026-28 term.
BGBA current president, Mofazzal Hossain Pabel, shared the BGBA activists for the last two years.
He said, The upcoming Executive committee will be formed with the consideration of various aspects of the candidate’s skill set. Candidates who are skilled and experienced with the social-organisational skill-set, having the capacity to contribute to critical policy-making issues and can take part in negotiations with various stakeholders. The candidates are chosen very selectively, so it is believed that the upcoming Executive Committee will be able to serve the industry and its members.
Held at Le Méridien Dhaka, the elegant evening brought together BGBA leaders and members for a memorable night of fellowship, cultural harmony, fashion showcase, music, and networking. The program featured recitations from holy scriptures, the national anthem, welcome and closing addresses by Visionary Alliance leaders, a fashion show, and a vibrant musical performance followed by a gala dinner.
The initiative reflects a shared vision of working together for progress and strengthening trade relationships within the BGBA community.
The BGBA election is to be held on January 10 at the Uttara Club in Dhaka. Visionary Alliance and United Forum will be contesting the election.
