Eminent educationist Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor (acting) at Primeasia University. He has been serving the post since October 16, 2020 and will continue till the next declaration by honorable President of Bangladesh.
He completed his B.Sc. in 1994 from Dhaka University and obtained first class second position in the merit list. In 2001, Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir obtained M.Sc. from Technical University, Dresden, Germany. In 2005, Doctor’s degree was awarded to him by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Technical University, Dresden Germany.
Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir has more than 24 years of experience in the fields of teaching, administration, government sector and different industries both in Bangladesh and abroad. He has 16 publications and conference proceedings and more than 12 of his articles have been published at the National Daily Newspapers. Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir is the Life Member of ITET (Institute of Textile Engineers and Technologies, Bangladesh) and also a Life Fellow Member of IEB (Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh).
Prior to joining at Primeasia University, Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Humaun Kabir was the Pro Vice Chancellor (D) at Northern University Bangladesh. He was also the former Vice Chancellor (D) at IBAIS University. He has served as the Principal Director at NITER; served as a Professor and Dean of the Textile Engineering Department at World University Bangladesh.
