Proyas Distributed Winter Clothes to poor people at SARSTEC

A bunch of young students of Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College, Barishal (SARSTEC) have formed a voluntary organization “Proyas” which motto is “Service to humanity is the step of liberation”. On 22 January 2023, Proyas organized a “Winter Cloth Distribution Program” like every year.

The Chief Guest of the program was Principal Engr. Md Abdul Kader Bepari. Besides, Chief Instructor Md. Nazrul Islam, Assistant Prof. M.M. Ayub Hossain, Assistant Prof. Md. Selim Akter, Assistant Prof Selim Molla, Assistant Prof Abdul Wadud, Assistant Prof Elora Nuz, Lecturer Ashima Mallik, member of Proyas, needy people who got token were also present. The program started at around 11:30 am.

The distribution of blankets among the needy people at the SARSTEC auditorium was the fourth & final step of the winter cloth distribution program. In the first step, humanity walls were set up at different places in Barishal. In the second step, members of Proyas distributed blankets to the truly helpless people at midnight. The third step was the distribution of winter clothing and tokens. Showing that token, people collected blankets in the program. To conduct winter cloth distribution activities smoothly, volunteers played an important role in this program where 150+ blankets were distributed among the needy.

By looking at the previous & present activities, the teachers assured to support the good work of Proyas. All current, applauded the effort of Proyas. A smile of satisfaction can be seen on their faces after receiving the blanket.

With the combined efforts of all present the “Winter Cloth Distribution program” was completed smoothly. Every team member of Proyas believes that one day Proyas will serve humanity on a large scale.
