LEED O+M: Existing Buildings (v4.1)

Purbani Fashion Limited is delighted to announce the achievement of the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) highest honor, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Certification. The award demonstrates dedication to operational excellence, environmental stewardship and compliance with international sustainability standards. Purbani Fashion Limited joins the selected group of garment manufacturers who are promoting positive change in the textile and apparel industry by fulfilling these demanding standards.

Purbani Fashion Ltd

Purbani Fashion Limited was established in an area where the community lives with low or minimal income-generating opportunities. The facility was a regeneration of an abandoned government dyeing factory and the integration of ethical business practices with top-notch manufacturing. Since then, the company has grown steadily, supplying top international brands while maintaining social and environmental standards. As Purbani has a long history of innovation, the LEED Platinum designation strengthens its conviction that environmental preservation and economic growth go hand in hand.

In pursuing LEED Platinum certification, Purbani Fashion Limited implemented an advanced energy management system and sourced a significant portion of the facility’s energy needs from renewable resources. The facility has successfully minimized water usage and waste production. It provides a healthy working environment characterized by ergonomic designs and improved air quality.

PURBANI is one of Bangladesh’s largest and oldest establishments, with a 100% export-oriented Textile industry since 1973 and has been doing business for more than 50 Years. It is a vertically integrated textile manufacturing company and the title holder of 13 business entities involved in spinning, Yarn Dyeing, Fiber dyeing, Fabric Manufacturing, Washing and Ready-Made Garments manufacturing.
