Regel™ listed in Textile Exchange’s Preferred Fibre & Materials Report

Regel™ – the latest innovation from Thai Acrylic Fibre Co. Ltd (TAF) – a part of Aditya Birla Group – is now listed in Textile Exchange’s Preferred Fibre & Materials Market Report.

Textile Exchange, a global nonprofit that creates leaders in the preferred fiber and materials industry, has released its Preferred Fibre & Materials Market Report 2022. The organization defines “preferred” fibre or material as the one that delivers ongoing beneficial outcomes and impacts for climate, nature, and people through a holistic approach to transforming raw fiber and material production systems.”

Regel™ is a recycled acrylic fibre and is the only recycled acrylic fibre in the world with GRS certification. The LCA study of Regel™ fibre shows significant improvement in the environmental footprint across the manufacturing process of garments made with it as compared to the one made with virgin acrylic fibre.

“We are pleased to see Regel™ being featured in Textile Exchange’s Preferred Fibre & Materials Report. It was one of our objectives at the beginning of this year to have Regel™ included in there as It is one of the most credible reports on fibres and materials”, says Tuhin Kulshreshtha, Head of Marketing, TAF.

Regel™ was developed as a result of growing demand of sustainable fashion products from global consumers, brands and retailers.
