Retailers to reopen stores by June-Walter Loeb

Former retail analyst Walter Loeb expects of reopening fashion stores in May or June but in staggering waves. He is now a consultant. Mango Apparel Company has reopened its stores already. The Spanish retailer aims to open 16 additional Dutch stores in Germany to top 42. A further 27 stores in Czech Republic, Latvia, Georgia, Cyprus and Ukraine will be reopened.

Most retailers are planning their back-to-school and drop assortments, or at least certain orders that have already been that or not canceled entirely. Retailers preparing to open stores later in the summer, either late August or early September, would need to stock products best suited for fall and early winter, Loeb said.
