Md. Mahbubur Rahman is a seasoned textile and apparel industry leader with over 10 years of experience in merchandising, fabric quality, business strategy, and talent development. As Founder & CIO at R&G 3rd Eye Consultancy, he has driven transformative growth for national and international clients. With an MSc in Clothing Engineering from Donghua University, he gained deep expertise in China’s textile sector while working with global brands like Gerry Weber and Herma. He has had the privilege of training over 20,000 professionals in Bangladesh and has conducted expert sessions at China Shandong Vocational College and Donghua University.
During the interview Md Mahbubur Rahman stated, “At R&G 3rd Eye Consultancy, we provide a comprehensive, data-driven solution to industries, covering Planning, Supply Chain, Production Management, HR & Admin, Quality Control, Inventory Management, Fabric & Material Inspection, Internal Audit, Cutting, Dyeing, and Sustainability Compliance. Since our journey began in 2014, we have partnered with over 120 factories across different sectors, including apparel, leather, and footwear industries, with a core focus on textile and garment manufacturing. Md Mahbubur Rahman, also said, “With our 11 years of experience, we can confidently say that there is significant room for improvement in our country’s industries. The traditional productivity level in our industries is around 40%-45%, but this can easily be increased to 70%-75%. Similarly, every industry in our country has a 25%-30% excess workforce compared to other countries. If we only focus on improving productivity, we can achieve our $100 billion export target just through this enhancement. By reallocating these workers to new production lines, we can increase production efficiency. Our country’s greatest strength is its youth power, but we foresee that in about 15 years, this workforce will start declining, similar to what has happened in China. Therefore, we need to maximize production with our current youth workforce so that future generations can benefit.
