RMG Club Ltd. and BTMA Explore Strategic Partnership to Strengthen Bangladesh’s Textile and Apparel Industry”

RMG Club Ltd. and the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) held a strategic meeting at the Amber Group Head Office in Dhaka to explore opportunities for long-term collaboration aimed at strengthening Bangladesh’s textile and apparel industry.

The meeting brought together Mr. Rezaul Alam Miru, President of RMG Club Ltd. and Mr. Showkat Aziz Russell, President of BTMA along with senior representatives.

The discussions focused on developing a strategic partnership to enhance the global competitiveness of Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector through closer industry collaboration, technological innovation, sustainability, investment promotion and knowledge exchange.

The two organizations identified several priority areas for future cooperation including:

  • Strengthening collaboration between textile manufacturers and garment exporters.
  • Promoting technological advancement, productivity enhancement and sustainable manufacturing.
  • Encouraging research, leadership development and industry knowledge-sharing.
  • Expanding international networking, trade and investment opportunities.
  • Supporting constructive policy dialogue for the long-term development of the sector.

Both organizations reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering a more resilient, competitive and sustainable textile and apparel ecosystem in Bangladesh.

Speaking after the meeting, Mr. Rezaul Alam Miru, President of RMG Club Ltd. emphasized the importance of stronger industry partnerships to accelerate innovation, sustainability and global competitiveness across the textile and apparel value chain.

Mr. Showket Aziz Russell, President of BTMA, underscored the need for closer collaboration among industry stakeholders to address emerging challenges, seize new opportunities, and reinforce Bangladesh’s position as one of the world’s leading textile and apparel sourcing destinations.

The meeting concluded with both organizations agreeing to maintain regular engagement and jointly pursue initiatives that contribute to the sustainable growth and continued success of Bangladesh’s largest export-oriented industry.
