According to Mongla port, around 17 containers carrying garment products from 27 factories in Dhaka, Gazipur, Savar and Narayanganj have reached Mongla Bandar Jetty via Padma Bridge.
These products are being loaded onto the Panamanian flagged vessel MV Marks Nesna at Jetty No. 8 of the port.
These products include children’s clothing, jerseys and cardigans, T-shirts, trousers and other products. The foreign ship Marks Nesna already left Mongla port this morning with these garment products.
RMG makers are interested in importing and exporting through this port to save time and money as ship handling at Mongla port is fast and safe and the distance with Dhaka is reduced.
According to the port, These garment products of Dhaka are going to Poland as the biggest shipment after the Padma Bridge was opened. Earlier, during the ferries on Padma, few products were exported through the port.
