Desk Report: According to the recent data by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB), Bangladesh export earnings registered a 31.26% year-on-year growth to $4.04 billion in November of the current FY 2021-22.The export earnings saw a 24.29% year-on-year growth to $19.8 billion in the first 5 months (July-November) of the FY22.
EPB data showed , the July-November period of FY22, the RMG sector registered a growth of 22.97%, compared to the same period of the last yearnFor the month of November 2021, the export of RMG increased by 32.34%, where knitwear maintained the growth of 33.05% and the woven sector 31.48%.
Bangladesh exported apparel items worth $3.24 billion, which was $2.44 billion in November 2020.According to industry insider, a pparel export value accommodated the inflation of input cost as the price of the raw materials including textile, dyes and chemicals has gone up with a big jump in freight cost, they explained.
