A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on October 5, 2025, between RTM Al-Kabir Technical University (RTM-AKTU), Sylhet, Bangladesh, and the Zhejiang Agricultural College, China, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership to foster international cooperation in education, research, and innovation.

The MoU was formally signed by Professor Nusrat Jahan Nipa, Foreign Visiting Professor at Zhejiang Agricultural College, China, and Mr. Syed Jaglul Pasha, Registrar of RTM Al-Kabir Technical University, Sylhet.
The signing ceremony was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Abu Naser Zafor Ullah,
Vice-Chancellor of RTM-AKTU, and Professor Momtaz Shamim, Treasurer, along with senior officials from both institutions. Representatives from Zhejiang Agricultural College also attended the event, emphasizing the shared vision of building long-term academic and research collaboration.

During the event, Mr. Hamidur Rahman, Business Coordinator from the China side, highlighted the importance of this partnership and noted that it represents “a better opportunity for future research collaboration between China and Bangladesh.” He expressed confidence that the MoU will pave the way for deeper cooperation in areas of mutual academic and development interest.
This agreement signifies a major step forward in promoting academic mobility, joint research initiatives, cultural and academic exchange programs, and innovation-driven development. Both universities reaffirmed their commitment to advancing mutual understanding and creating opportunities for faculty and student engagement across borders.
The partnership is expected to open new avenues for collaborative research projects, capacity-building initiatives, and cross-cultural learning experiences, contributing to the global advancement of higher education and sustainable development.
