A Farewell Ceremony has been organized efficiently by SARSTEC Career Club (SCC) for its departing members from B. Sc 6th Batch, under the direct supervision of Lecturer of SARSTEC and Moderator of SCC, Engr. Md. Zahid Murad Shuva. For the very first time, due to the Covid-19 outbreak this year the farewell ceremony was arranged in 2 Segments. The Formal Session was held on 18 January 2021 on Zoom (online platform) and lastly the ‘Certification & Crests-Giving’ ceremony was held on 21 January 2021 at the SARSTEC campus to a limited extent.
Honorable, Engr. Nayon Chandra Ghosh, Principal of Sheikh Rehana Textile Engineering College, Gopalgonj, & Advisor of SARSTEC Career Club was present at the Online Session to make the session more engrossing. Respectable, Lecturer Engr. Md. Zahid Murad Shuva, Moderator-SCC, was the notable speaker of the session. Senior members of the previous committee of SCC (2019-20) and all the board members of the current committee attended the session. Besides, Former President of SCC (2018-19), Md. Nabil Chowdhury had made the program more delightful by joining the session.
The online session was started on zoom at 8 PM, 18 January 2021 with the recitation from the Holy Quran and the Geeta. Then a Visual Presentation was presented to recall the journey of SCC. At first, Md. Mahmudul Hasib Dhrubo, Organizing Secretary of SCC & Md. Aminul Islam Rayhan, Executive Member of SCC , shared their valuable thoughts about SCC with views from different aspects, praised the year-long activities of SCC and finished conveying their best wishes and regards to the members departing away from us. Vice President Trina Debnath said few inspiring words, “SCC is another form of Unity”. Whereas Farzana Alam Piya, the President, and Urmi Atandrila Biswas, the General Secretary, thanked the senior members wholeheartedly for their tremendous journey and wished to get continuous support from them. Then former President of the 2019-2020 session, Towkir Ahmed Tomal consulted a few important things with the new committee members and said “We can’t change the direction of the wind, but we can adjust the direction of the sailing boat with the wind.” Other senior members thanked the juniors for the arrangement they had done for the ceremony. Later, Md. Nabil Chowdhury, a founding member of SCC said something valuable for everyone’s sake, “Work dedicatedly for the development of the club as well as the campus, it would be more appreciating.” After that Engr. Md. Zahid Murad Shuva praised a lot about previous committee members because of taking the challenges with positivity and said some leading points to the club members. “Co-curricular activities matter a lot to represent an enriched CV before the interviewers, as well as the foreign universities”, of his speech, motivated the members greatly. Then Engr. Nayon Chandra Ghosh advised the club members to carry on well the uncompleted tasks following the path shown by their respected seniors. Thus this session was ended by the host Md. Imran Hossain, Joint Secretary, SCC with wishes for good health and a bright future for everyone at 9:30 PM that night.
21 January 2021, the final part ‘Certification & Crests Giving’ ceremony was held at SARSTEC campus in the presence of Engr. Md. Zahid Murad Shuva. He handed over the crests and certificates to the goers of the new paths.
Goers have gone to start their new journey. SCC wishes them to be the best in every sphere of life and SCC keeps going a long way with everyone’s ingenious support and co-operation.
