The Olympiad, which began at 11:00 AM, saw the participation of approximately 300 students from SARSTEC. Its primary goal was to enhance students’ soft skills through a series of engaging challenges, including a public speaking segment and a quiz competition.

The public speaking segment covered key topics critical to the Bangladeshi textile industry, such as:

Branding “Made in Bangladesh” on the global stage

Sustainability in the textile industry

Challenges and opportunities in Bangladesh’s textile sector

The future of smart textiles in Bangladesh

The 4th Industrial Revolution and global challenges facing Bangladesh’s RMG sector

The Olympiad began at 10:20 AM with a quiz competition, which formed the first segment and was worth 80 marks. The top 10 contestants from the quiz round advanced to the public speaking segment, where they presented three-minute speeches on one of the industry-relevant topics.
