SARSTEC Selected As The Best Textile Engineering College For FY 2021-2022

sarstec-5“Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College, Barisal” shortly known as SARSTEC has been selected as the best textile engineering college in Bangladesh for the financial year 2021-2022. On 10th April, the Department of Textiles published a press release about this. This selection has been made on the basis of the result of the BSc in Textile Engineering Course, Level 4 Term 2-semester final exam.

Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College, established in 2010, is situated at the core of Barisal city beside C&B Road, Barisal. Having an area of 7.4 Acers, there are 4 departments: Yarn Engineering, Fabric Engineering, Wet Process Engineering, and Apparel Engineering, where each batch contains 120 students. With well-oriented classrooms, the latest lab facilities, an enriched library, tremendous accommodation facilities, and spontaneous teachers, this campus produces qualified, skilled, and dynamic textile engineers as well as human resources every year.

Currently, there are 7 textile engineering colleges under the supervision of the Department of Textiles in the country — Chittagong Textile Engineering College, Chittagong  (CTEC) ; Pabna Textile Engineering College, Pabna (PTEC) ; Textile Engineering College, Noakhali (TECN) ;  Shahid Abdur Rab Serniabat Textile Engineering College, Barisal (SARSTEC) ; Textile Engineering College Jhenaidah (SKTEC) ; Dr. M A Wazed Miah Textile Engineering College, Rangpur (DWMTEC) ;  Sheikh Rehana Textile Engineering College, Gopalgonj (SRTEC). Few more textile engineering colleges are in process. Among these 7 colleges, SARSTEC has made its position at the top.
