ShinWon Strengthens the Virtuous Cycle of Sustainable Growth with Guatemalan Youth at National Job Fair

  • An Open Gateway for Youth Employment: Nurturing professional talent to power the future growth of the apparel industry
  • Commitment to Sustainable Jobs: Delivering on the vision of co-growth with local communities and contributing to economic development
  • Strengthening Central America Hub: Proactively addressing tariff risks while accelerating supply chain resilience through a nearshoring strategy

ShinWon Corporation (CEO: JJ Park), a leading global apparel manufacturer, announced that its Guatemalan subsidiary, Daniel Tex, S.A., took part in the 2nd National Job Fair held in Santa Lucia Milpas Altas on August 29, reinforcing its commitment to youth employment and community development.

Hosted by Guatemala’s Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (Mintrab), the fair attracted over a thousand job seekers and more than 30 companies across industries, including apparel and construction materials. Daniel Tex welcomed more than 400 visitors to its booth, where HR managers provided one-on-one consultations and presented career opportunities in production, quality control, technical roles, and administration.

Operating five subsidiaries in Guatemala—including Daniel Tex, S.A., ShinWon GT, S.A., and Fashion Stitch Guatemala, S.A.—alongside its local sales office, ShinWon has consistently generated stable and long-term jobs in the region. The company also implements a broad portfolio of employee-friendly policies such as women’s empowerment training programs, maternity support kits, onsite medical clinics, and recognition programs for outstanding employees. Through this fair, ShinWon extended its long-standing CSR initiatives to local youth, reinforcing its vision of being “a company that grows together with local communities.”

One participant said, “For young people like me, it was an invaluable opportunity to dream bigger and launch a career with a global fashion company. What inspired me most was that ShinWon not only provided stable employment but also opened a clear pathway to grow and thrive in the international marketplace.”

Michael Jang, General Director of Daniel Tex, S.A., stated, “ShinWon has grown together with the Guatemalan community. We are proud to empower local youth by creating more opportunities. Moving forward, as a global fashion company, we will remain committed to generating stable jobs, driving sustainable growth in the local economy, and taking the lead in social contribution.”

In anticipation of global trade shifts, ShinWon has proactively reinforced its Central American operations – establishing a local sales office in 2023, launching a dedicated activewear facility in 2024, and acquiring leading apparel manufacturer Modas Blue in 2025. With 15 entities across Guatemala, Nicaragua, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the United States, ShinWon now employs approximately 30,000 people worldwide.
