  • Driving Sustainable Fashion Leadership through Eco-Friendly Manufacturing and Renewable Energy toward 2050 Top-Tier Resource Circulation
  • Championing Worker Rights and Supplier Partnerships to Foster a Diverse and Inclusive Organizational Culture
  • Enhancing Accountability and Transparency under the ‘Won Fashion, One Impact’ Vision to Achieve Healthy Governance

ShinWon Corporation (CEO: JJ Park), a leading global apparel manufacturer, announced its second annual Sustainability Report, outlining the company’s major ESG achievements and long-term strategies. The report highlights company-wide progress across three pillars—Sustainable Fashion Leadership, Stakeholder Partnership, and Responsible Governance—as ShinWon accelerates efforts to enhance transparency and accountability across its end-to-end supply chain, spanning both manufacturing and branded fashion operations.

In March, ShinWon held its Compliance Management Declaration ceremony, announcing implementation plans grounded in the company’s core principles: human rights management, anti-corruption protocols, ethical business conduct, and fair-trade. As part of strengthening the Social (S) pillar of its ESG agenda, ShinWon has advanced worker well-being initiatives and deepened collaborative partnerships across its global supplier network. ShinWon has institutionalized annual labor and human-rights audits across all overseas production sites, addressed priority risks, while also delivering technical support programs to 14 partner factories—resulting in notable improvements in productivity and product quality.

ShinWon is also expanding its community engagement through locally tailored CSR initiatives. By participating in Fair Trade USA programs, the company reinvests premiums into worker welfare and community development projects. In Guatemala, ShinWon has strengthened its ties with the community through participation in Independence Day events, workplace health programs, and initiatives designed around local cultural context and employee needs. These efforts collectively contributed to ShinWon earning an A+ rating in the Social (S) category from the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS).

Within the Environmental (E) pillar, ShinWon continues to advance its vision of becoming a top-tier leader in resource circulation by 2050. The company is expanding its resource-circularity initiatives and accelerating its transition to renewable energy. Its Indonesian subsidiary, PT Fashion Stitch Josua, earned LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2024, affirming ShinWon’s competitiveness in sustainable, eco-efficient manufacturing. Across Vietnam, Guatemala, Indonesia, and other subsidiaries, ShinWon has introduced solar power systems, upgraded water-treatment facilities, and implemented sustainable washing technologies— advancing water reuse, emissions reduction, and the mitigation of environmental impact throughout its value chain.

In the Governance (G) pillar, ShinWon continues to strengthen its commitment to integrity-driven and transparent corporate management. Critical ESG-related agenda items—including GHG reduction, energy transition, and climate-risk response—are reviewed by the ESG Committee and then elevated to the Board for final approval, reinforcing accountability at the highest levels of leadership. This governance framework enables ShinWon to move beyond regulatory compliance and advance long-term corporate value and sustainable growth.

“Our latest Sustainability Report reflects ShinWon’s continued progress and commitment to responsible growth,” stated CEO JJ Park. “Under our vision, ‘Won Fashion, One Impact,’ we will create meaningful social value, deliver lasting positive impact to customers and communities worldwide, and build a sustainable fashion ecosystem that grows with future generations.” Currently, ShinWon operates 15 entities across 10 countries, including Vietnam, Indonesia, Guatemala, and Nicaragua, employing over 30,000 people worldwide. As a global manufacturer, the company continues to take the lead in empowering its workforce by enhancing employee capabilities and welfare, upholding its social responsibilities across all operations.
