Mr. Showkat Aziz Russell, the Chairman of Amber Group, a renowned business entity in Bangladesh, and the President of the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), has been elected as the President of Purbachal Club Limited. Today, at the Purbachal Club Limited premises on the 300 Feet Road, the former Acting President of the club, Mr. Mozaharul Haque Shahid, handed over the responsibilities of the President to Mr. Showkat Aziz Russell.
The newly elected President, Mr. Showkat Aziz Russell was greeted with flower bouquets. In his speech, Mr. Russell expressed his gratitude to the members of the club and the guests present for electing him as the President of Purbachal Club Limited. He assured that strong and effective steps would be taken to address the club’s issues and improve its overall development.
The event was attended by Mr. Ashraful Zaman Khan, President of Dhaka Club; Mr. Rubel Aziz, President of Banani Club; Mr. Nasir Mahmud, President of Dhaka Boat Club; Mr. Anwar Rashid, President of Gulshan Club; Mr. Farooq Ahmed, President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB); and Mr. Azizul Kaiser Tito, Chairman of City Bank. The esteemed directors of Purbachal Club and distinguished guests were also present at the ceremony.
