SICIP–BGMEA organised “Workshop with Head of HR 2026”

SICIP–BGMEA organised “Workshop with Head of HR 2026” on 26 July 2026 at the BGMEA Complex, aiming to develop skilled, employment-ready and future-focused human resources for Bangladesh’s ready-made garment industry.

The program was attended by Arifur Rahman, Director of BGMEA as the Chief Guest. The workshop was chaired by Ms. Rumana Rashid, Director of BGMEA. Munir Chowdhury, Chief Coordinator of the SICIP–BGMEA Program, attended as the Guest of Honour.

Heads of HR and representatives from 20 leading RMG and textile organisations participated in the workshop: Fully Sun China Limited (PGS PEPCO Global Sourcing), Utah Group, Centro Tex, Snowtex Group, Mondol Group, Jamuna Denims Ltd., Apex Holdings Ltd., Northern Tosrifa Group, Walton Group, Youth Group Designtex Ltd., Good Earth Apparels Ltd., Pakiza Knit Group, Pretty Group, Agami Apparels Ltd. (Deco Legacy Group), Akij Resources, Simco Spinning & Textiles Ltd., Mohammadi Group, Textile Hubs, Textown Group, and S.F. Denim Apparels Ltd.

The workshop featured constructive discussions on industry skill requirements, current recruitment trends, workforce development in technology-driven workplaces, and strategies for connecting trained young people with employment opportunities. The program was conducted by Md. Ashfaquor Rahman, Coordinator, and Ms. Saida Afrin.

SICIP–BGMEA remains committed to strengthening collaboration between industry and training institutions to enhance skills development, expand employment opportunities, and improve the long-term competitiveness of Bangladesh’s RMG sector.
