Silkflex Re-Act Seminar – Showcasing Sustainable Innovation in Textile Printing

SILKFLEX, the global leader in eco-friendly, water-based textile printing inks, successfully organized the “Silkflex Re-Act Seminar – Showcasing Sustainable Innovation in Textile Printing” in Dhaka. The event focused on advancing sustainable practices in textile printing and introducing Silkflex’s latest innovation, Re-Act, a specialized ink series designed to enhance performance while reducing environmental impact.

The seminar brought together key representatives from the textile and apparel industry, including manufacturers, printers, buyers, association leaders, and technical experts. The event was hosted by Mr. Ahmed Javed Jamal, Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Silkflex Bangladesh, and brought together leading professionals from the textile and apparel industry to explore the latest advancements in sustainable printing technologies. More than 300 guests attended the event, underscoring the growing interest in sustainable printing solutions within Bangladesh’s textile sector.

Keynote and Remarks In his welcome address, Md. Kabir Mollah, Managing Director of Silkflex Bangladesh, expressed his gratitude to all participants and highlighted Silkflex’s continuous commitment to sustainability and innovation in textile printing. Md Jashim Uddin, Managing Director, Texture BD Group and Director of BAYLA, in his remarks, emphasized the growing importance of sustainable chemicals for Bangladesh’s textile growth. He said, “The apparel sector of Bangladesh has entered a new era where sustainability defines success. Initiatives like the Silkflex Re-Act Seminar not only showcase advanced technology but also inspire manufacturers to adopt eco-friendly practices. Sustainable printing solutions such as those provided by Silkflex are vital in meeting international buyer expectations while ensuring environmental compliance.”

Technical Presentation by Dr. Eric

The seminar also featured an insightful technical presentation by Dr. Eric HL Tan, Managing Director of Silkflex Polymers SDN BHD, who elaborated on the technology and innovation behind the Silkflex Re-Act product line.

He explained, “Silkflex Re-Act is a specialized additive or ink series designed for textile screen printing applications. The Re-Act range is part of our commitment to provide environmentally responsible alternatives to traditional chemical-based products, ensuring that our customers can achieve premium quality without compromising sustainability.”

Dr. Eric further added that Silkflex’s research and development team continues to innovate new formulations that meet the demands of modern textile printing, enabling manufacturers to achieve vibrant prints, superior hand feel, and long-lasting performance all while maintaining eco-friendly standards.
