Sheikh Kamal Textile Engineering College (SKTECH) Career Club organized Textile Olympiad & Career Seminar at their campus on 25th July 2019. Engr. Md. Mohibul Islam, Principal, Sheikh Kamal Textile Engineering College was present as Chief Guest at this daylong event. The event was designed in 02 slots i.e Textile Olympiad & Career Seminar. In the first slot student participated at photo exhibition, debating and textile quiz. In the second slot all about student career planning session. Engr. Md. Mohibul Islam distributed certificates and crest to the winners of photo exhibition, debating and textile quiz. Engr. Md. Mohibul Islam appreciated SKTEC Career Club for their initiative to organize such an interactive event which is really important for students’ knowledge enrichment.
Career Seminar was the main attraction of the daylong event. Engr. Mamun-Ur-Rashid, Executive Director, TeXco tech was the key note speaker at the career seminar. Engr. Mamun has a long experience in this textile industry and engage in encouraging student for their future planning and career prospects. The key note was titled “Prospect of Textile Sector in Bangladesh”. In the presentation Engr. Mamun describe the present scenario of global textile industry and how the textile industry is moving forward. Based on his experience he shared practical and theatrical experience to the students. He also provided some guideline for the students regarding how they will make them prepared for the industry. Students was inspired by the presentation. Engr. Md. Mohibul Islam thanked Engr. Mamun for coming to SKTEC and for valued presentation and guideline for the students.
Textile Focus editor M A Islam Riyadh had a courtesy speech on recent textile trend and how the student be ready for industry 4.0 transformation. SKTEC career Club was formed to inspire the students for career development. SKTEC Career Club Moderator Eng. Md. Fahad Mahmud Marut thanks everyone for making the event meaningful. Engr. Fahad mentioned that they will organize such career seminar in future for the students which will help them to be connected with recent happenings of the industry. Textile Focus, the leading bi-monthly international textile magazine was the media partner of the event.
