Desk Report: For the first time, a picnic has been organized by the Smart Merchandisers Forum, an organization of life-saving merchandisers in the garment industry of Bangladesh. They celebrated their two years’ journey with roaming different places, raffle draws and entertainment. Junior and Senior merchandisers from various factories and buying houses participate in this event. Sohail Arman, the founder and CEO of the organization, started his journey two years ago with the aim of bringing together all the merchandisers of the garment industry in Bangladesh.
At present this organization has about 2600 members from different factories and buying houses. There are 3 categories of members in this forum. General Member, Lifetime Member and, Ladies Group. The organization is governed by an 11-member Senate. The organization has its own website www.smf.com.bd
Experts in the industry are hopeful that the organization will contribute to the RMG sector in the future.
