The Department of Apparel Manufacturing Management & Technology (AMMT) at Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) hosted the orientation program for its 52nd batch of first-semester students, marking the beginning of their academic journey.

The event, held at the department premises, featured a series of engaging sessions aimed at guiding students through both academic and personal development opportunities.
Prof. Shishir Kr. Bhattarjee, Dean of the Faculty of Design & Technology, graced the program along with Farjana Mita, Head of the Department (Associate Professor), departmental coordinators, and other faculty members.
Throughout the day, students were introduced to key academic procedures, departmental expectations, and resources available for their growth. The program also focused on helping students foster a sense of community and belonging within the department.
The orientation successfully fulfilled its objective of easing students’ transition into university life. Organizers emphasized that feedback from this session would be used to further improve future orientation programs, making them even more impactful for incoming batches.
