Southeast Textile Students are developing Smart Garments for Bangladesh Navy

For the first time at the Department of Textile Engineering, Southeast University, Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh, one research group consisting of three members is developing a new modern Smart garment for the Bangladesh Navy.

The research group is supervised by Prof. Dr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Honourable Pro-Vice Chancellor, BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology-BUFT, Nishatnagor, Turag, Bangladesh, and Md. Enamul Haque Nizam, Asst. Professor, Department of Textile Engineering, Southeast University. They worked for one year on planning and finding the gaps in the research to develop these garments.

The supervisor ensures that this Latest Modern garment will be a new era for the Bangladesh Navy. Different modern features and the latest, cheap software will be used for developing these Smart garments. This new and innovative project is also submitted to BENBIES, the Ministry of Education, Government of Bangladesh, for external funding.
