A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Southeast University (SEU) and the Amanat Shah Group on 26 November 2025, Wednesday, at the university’s Multipurpose Hall.
The signing took place during a Talk titled “Invention and Innovation in the Textile Sector.”
The session was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of Southeast University, Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, according to a media release.
The event was graced by the presence of Mohammad Helal Miah, Chairman of the Amanat Shah Group, as the Chief Guest.
Among others who spoke at the discussion meeting were Md. Nurul Islam, Chief Advisor of Amanat Shah Group; Mr. Md. Rezaul Karim, Director; and Professor Engr. Masud Ahmed, Chairman of the Department of Textile Engineering, SEU.
Following the discussion, an MoU was formally signed between Southeast University and the Amanat Shah Group.
The agreement was signed by Birmuktijoddha Md. Nurul Islam, Senior Executive Director of Woven Fabrics for Amanat Shah Group, and Professor Engr. Masud Ahmed, Chairman of the Department of Textile Engineering at Southeast University, on behalf of their respective organizations.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Mohammad Helal Miah, Chairman of Amanat Shah Group and Member of the Southeast University Board of Trustees; Md. Rezaul Karim, Director, Amanat Shah Group; Miah Md. Zubayer Amin, Director; Md. Nurul Islam, Chief Advisor, Amanat Shah Group; and from Southeast University: Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice-Chancellor; Professor Dr. M. Mofazzal Hossain, Pro-Vice-Chancellor; Professor Engr. Masud Ahmed, Chairman, Department of Textile Engineering; Professor Dr. Engr. ANM Ahmadullah, Department of Textile Engineering, along with faculty members, administrative officials, and staff.
