Luxembourg-based climate finance platform SPONSOR and one of Bangladesh’s leading renewable energy companies, Omera Renewable Energy Limited, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly advance renewable energy, climate finance, and sustainable infrastructure development in Bangladesh.

The strategic partnership was formalized through a signing ceremony held on 8 July, marking the beginning of a new phase of collaboration between the two organizations.

Under the MoU, SPONSOR and Omera Renewable Energy will work together to facilitate international climate finance, develop renewable energy projects, prepare investment-ready projects, promote sustainable infrastructure, and accelerate green investment. The partnership will also focus on connecting local and international investors, supporting project development, providing technical cooperation, and fostering knowledge exchange.
