Desk Report: Screen Print Welfare Association (SPWA) – an organization of the country’s printing sector launched its self-published magazine ‘Shadow(4th Edition).’ On 16 December at Apon Bhubon Shouting spot in Pubail, Gazipur. Around 500 spawa members, experts from reputed printing factories were present.

On the occasion, Eng. Md. Safiqur Rahman, President, Textile Engineers and Technologists Institution (ITET) was present as Chief guest, SPWA Founder member,Helal Uddin Ripon presided over the function. Engr.Md.Fazlul Karim Kamrul,CEO Textile Musuem; SPWA General Secretary, Saiful islam; Organizing Secretary, Golam Sarwar, GHK Zaman, Convener of Get Together program; Shadow Magazine Editor, Abu Sayem; SPAWA Chief adviser, KM Nazrul Islam Jasim; SPWA Vice Presidents-Monayem Khan, Shahadat Hossain Shohag;Aslam Hossain, Nazmul Huq Khokon and many industry experts were present at the get together program.
The day-long get-together event was designed with a quiz and various competitions for the participants to make the day happy and enjoyable.
Screen Print Welfare Association is a non-government, non-profit and non-political organization established in 2015 to serve the screen-printing community in Bangladesh. This organization is also organizing a get-together program with screen print workers outside the members. SPWA has 4243 registered members with 1748 factory involvement and made 151,230 corporate deals by now.
SPWA works in the fields of sustainable development, poverty alleviation, and empowerment of the poor through the provision of screen printing services supported by a wide array of other development programs.
