The Bangladesh Sustainable and Renewable Energy Association (BSREA) had the privilege of hosting a courtesy meeting this morning with the delegation from the High Commission of Canada in Bangladesh at the BSREA Office in Gulshan, Dhaka.

The Canadian delegation included Debra Boyce, Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner, and Quazi Gulam Farhad, Trade Commissioner, High Commission of Canada.
The meeting was highly constructive and forward-looking, focusing on expanding Bangladesh–Canada cooperation in renewable energy and sustainable development. Key areas of discussion included:
– Clean and renewable energy collaboration
– Technology transfer and innovation
– Investment opportunities in Bangladesh’s energy sector
– Capacity building and manpower development
BSREA also expressed a strong interest in establishing institutional partnerships with Canadian renewable energy stakeholders, including the potential signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance business networking, knowledge exchange, and industry engagement.
This engagement marks an important step toward strengthening international partnerships in clean energy, creating new opportunities for BSREA members, and supporting Bangladesh’s transition toward a sustainable energy future.
