Susan Lund, IFC’s Vice President for Economics and Private Sector Development, visited Jinnat Knitwear of DBL Group – one of IFC’s longstanding partners in Bangladesh.
Martin Holtmann, Country Manager, Bangladesh, Bhutan & Nepal; Dr. Friedmann Roy, Advisor to the Vice President, and other officials of IFC joined her during the visit. M. A. Jabbar, Managing Director, DBL Group accompanied the visitors.
And here’s a bit of history on the IFC-DBL partnership – we invested $22.7 million in DBL’s Hamza Textiles Limited in 2021 to help the Group meet production efficiency and their fashion brands’ commitment to sustainability through IFC’s Partnership for Cleaner Textile (PaCT) and Better Work Bangladesh programs.
