Team Star started its journey in 2009. Team Star produce all types of wet & dry process machines related with washing plant as well as accessories in & supplier. Team Star be comparable with European standards & fulfil its production in accordance with these standards without any harm of human health & environment. In Bangladesh Team Star first time started manufacturing sustainable machines for Bangladesh garments washing industry. Team Star creates a good platform in this sector within a very short time for reliable business policy along with experienced staff & workers. Till now Team Star is the biggest workshop in Bangladesh which is renowned for their good quality & goodwill. Engr. Md. Asaduzzaman, Managing Director of Team Star has a long-time practical experience in machine manufacturing specially for sustainable garment washing industry. He has the vision to provide world class sustainable and eco friendly garment washing technology from Bangladesh at very competitive rate and services. Team Star has already set a benchmark in the garments washing industry for their advanced technology and sales support. Team Textile Focus had an insightful discussion with Engr. Md. Asaduzzaman, key discussion points are mentioned below for our readers-

Textile Focus: Starting to Team Star Technology.

Engr. Md. Asaduzzaman: Today I will talk about this industry, not only my industry but also the engineering industry of the entire Bangladesh. We have a very significant development at our garments industry and we are now the 2nd largest garment exporter. It’s high time to take timely decisions about this industry. The Ministry of Industries and the Ministry of Education did not properly implement the necessary changes in technical education. Unfortunately, this engineering industry is very backward. I started my career in 1998. After working with machinery suppliers, I saw that this engineering industry has a bright future for the garment industry of Bangladesh. From there, I prepared myself how to become an entrepreneur and start working accordingly. I started working on R&D of some machines in different washing plants and I found there are huge opportunities to develop sustainable machineries for washing industry. From there, my journey started and I started producing different types of machines every year.

Textile Focus: What is your recommendation to develop the local engineering industry?

Engr. Md. Asaduzzaman: Today, the garment industry has captured the world market. We need the cooperation of the Ministry of Industries in how to capture the world market in this engineering industry. Some policies should be brought; I think you should give guidance to the users in Bangladesh. All the machines that are made in Bangladesh should be used and there will be guidance from the Ministry of Industries on process, capabilities, banking support, proper technical training. Also, government need to provide various support to the entrepreneurs for managing proper R&D. Then the local manufacturers will be able to showcase this technology in the world market. I have been working in this segment for a long time and after huge struggle now, I have reached a stage but there is still a long way to go. I would like to tell everyone, you should cooperate with this industry to develop the country, employment for millions of people, save foreign currency. Pay attention to the economic aspect behind each of your plants. Using Team Satr technology will save your 50% machine import cost.

Textile Focus: What are the key benefits from local manufacturer-Team Star, comparing foreign manufacturers?

Engr. Md. Asaduzzaman: If we want to be economically self-reliant, we must first give importance to industry. There are so many visible benefits for using locally manufacturing machines in our industry. If we want to import machines it requires opening an LC, arranging foreign currency, and going through complex banking procedures. Even before shipment, the LC process itself can take 10–15 days, followed by another 45 days for lead time and 45 days for shipment. Altogether, it usually takes around three months to receive the machine. And it also time consuming to install at the factory with technical team assign by the manufacturers.

On the other side, locally manufactured machines can be delivered within 10–15 days. Installation is completed in just 5 days, enabling production to begin immediately—saving nearly two and a half months compared to foreign machines. Since we manufacture ourselves, we provide full technical support, which reduces costs by almost 50%. Imported machines may come with 1–2 years’ warranty, but in case of breakdown, spare parts are often unavailable locally and must be brought from abroad. On the other hand, spare parts for local machines are easily available and reasonably priced. If there is a problem today, it can be fixed the same day. For major issues, a foreign machine may take nearly 3 months to repair, but for locally manufactured machines, it takes only around 3 days. Lacal manufacturers the factory always gets the best and instant support.

Textile Focus: For washing industry uses of water is very important. How Team Star products are providing sustainable in terms of water consumption?

Engr. Md. Asaduzzaman: The world is moving ahead of Zero Discharge technology. We will have to take care of this issue for our environmental survival. Globally, reducing water wastage and environmental pollution is a major challenge. PLC-programmed machines precisely measure and control water use, unlike conventional systems that consume water in fixed 1:3 or 1:4 ratios. In addition, Team Star machines allow water reuse, which significantly minimizes wastage. We also integrate economizers with heat exchangers, reducing steam usage by nearly 50% compared to foreign machines. For example, while a typical system may require 280 kg of steam per hour, ours use only about 160 kg. This results in lower production costs while ensuring affordable, sustainable & eco-friendly operations. As we are always R&D focus, we are working on continuous development for ensuring the sustainability to our products range.

Textile Focus: How are you getting response from the industry?

Engr. Md. Asaduzzaman: We will say this, Team Star Technology not only challenges Bangladesh but also the world. Team Star Technology is here to make you profitable technologically & economically.  You will save fuel, you will save time, you will save chemicals. At the root of everything, Team Star Technology’s machines are international standard. Anyone is welcome to visit Team Star Technology practically and only after visiting if they find the difference and innovation, I will suggest them to use Team Satar Technology. More than fifty companies in Bangladesh are using Team Star sustainable machineries. I would like to thank Ha-Meem Group, Square Group, Beximco Group, NASA Group, Hams Group, Starlink, Pacific Jeans, Asian Group, Youngone for using Team Star machineries. There are many industrialists who are using our machines, who trust us, and love to use the machines and are getting very good results. They are constantly using machines from us instead of taking them from abroad.
