Textile Engineering College Noakhali (TECN) has secured the coveted first place in the Ministry of Jute and Textile’s Innovation Competition with their project, “Improved Fire Automation System.” The competition was arranged on 30 April in the Ministry of Jute and Textile.
The winning project, developed in collaboration with the Directorate of Textiles (DOT), impressed the judges with its innovative approach to fire safety. The award ceremony was graced by the presence of the Honorable Secretary of Textile and Jute Ministry, Mr. Md. Abdur Rauf, and the Honorable Director General of Directorate of Textiles, Mr. Md. Nuruzzaman.
TECN’s project emerged victorious after a rigorous selection process. Initially, it was chosen as the best among 27 entries submitted by various colleges, institutes, and organizations under the Directorate of Textiles. This earned them the distinction of representing the Directorate at the Ministry-level competition.
The project team expressed their gratitude to the Ministry officials, the Principal of Textile Engineering College Noakhali, and all the teachers and students who tirelessly contributed to the project’s success. “Their unwavering efforts and support,” they remarked, “were instrumental in achieving this recognition as the Ministry of Jute and Textile’s best project.”
The “Improved Fire Automation System” team comprises Md Ashfaqur Rahman Noman, Abdullah Al Mansur, Imtiaz Hossain Chowdhury, and Mahedi Hasan. The project was guided by Engr. Saifur Rahman (Principal), Foysol Khan (Assistant Professor), Zakaria Alam Jiku (Focal Point, Innovation and e-governance), and Enamul Haque (Assistant Professor) from Textile Engineering College, Noakhali.
TECN’s victory in the innovation competition marks a significant achievement, not only for the college but also for the advancement of safety measures in the textile industry.
