To discuss about the Bharat Tex Fair-2025, a delegation from The Cotton Textiles Export Production Council (Texprocil) based in India, paid a courtesy call on the BKMEA leaders led by its Joint Director Mr. Murali Balkrishna.

Mr. Mohammad Hatem, executive president, BKMEA presided over the program held in BKMEA Dhaka office on 1 June 2024. Senior vice president Mr. Mansoor Ahmed and vice president Mr. Fazlee Shamim Ehsan were also present at the meeting.
The meeting aimed to exchange views on mutual trade interests, with a focus on Bangladesh’s knitwear industry and exploring broader cooperation opportunities between Bangladesh and India.
India is a crucial partner for Bangladesh but the short term visa and the complexity is a barrier for the business and trade said BKMEA executive president Mohammad Hatem.
He emphasized on simplifying the visa process by removing the complications.
Senior vice president Mansoor Ahmed overviewed the knitwear export scenario and the environmental awareness of Bangladesh.
Unified certification and fair pricing was the crucial part of this discussion. Mr. Fazlee Shamim Ehsan, vice president, BKMEA raised these issues in the meeting. He urged to mitigate the visa complexities immediately for the sake of harmonious business between Bangladesh and India.
Mr. Manoj kumar patodia, past chairman, Texprocil; Mr.Siva Reddy Conda, senior manager, GHCL textile Ltd; Mr. Ankit Lah, director, Kamal Cotspin Pvt Ltd; Harsh Ajitsaria, director Rameswar Udyog Pvt; Mr. SG Ravikumar, general manager, GTN group were present with the delegation.
