Textile Engineers Alumni Association of Southeast University Announces New Executive Committee (2026 – 2027)

The association aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry while creating opportunities for alumni to contribute to national and global textile development. The recent election and formal launch of the new committee reflect TEAASEU’s commitment to transparency, participation, and collective progress.

With the support of Senior Alumni, Faculty members, and the broader alumni network, the newly formed committee is expected to undertake initiatives focused on professional development, industry collaboration, student mentorship, and knowledge sharing. The leadership reaffirmed its commitment to inclusivity and active participation from alumni of all batches.

The Textile Engineers Alumni Association of Southeast University (TEAASEU) successfully completed its election on 5th December 2025, marking an important step forward for the alumni community. Following the election, The Majestic Launch of the Executive Committee was held on 16th January 2026 at Permanent Campus of Southeast University, Tejgoan, Dhaka in a dignified and enthusiastic atmosphere.

The event was graced by the presence of the Vice Chancellor of Southeast University, Professor Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Chairman of the Department of Textile Engineering Professor Engr. Mashud Ahmed, and distinguished Grand Advisors Foysal Ahmed and Abdullah Kafi from the first batch. The program was also attended by the Convenor of the Advisory Committee, Mohammad Hasnat Hossain from the second batch and also the esteemed faculties of DTE. The Executive Committee is guided by respected faculty members Professor Dr. Engr. ANM Ahmed Ullah and Dr. Md. Shamim Alam of DTE, Southeast University, ensuring strong academic leadership and direction.

For the 2026 – 2027 term of two years, the association will be led by President Md. Shariqul Islam (Shourov) from the second batch and General Secretary Arifur Rahman Robin from the fifth batch. During the launch ceremony, a partial committee was formally introduced by Senior Vice President Rashaduzzaman Siddique Jitu from the second batch along with the General Secretary. The extended committee will be announced in due course.

During their addresses, the esteemed guests emphasized the importance of innovation in the textile industry at both national and international levels. They highlighted unity and togetherness among alumni as the core strength of TEAASEU and encouraged collaborative efforts to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of the textile sector. The Textile Engineers Alumni Association of Southeast University looks ahead with confidence, aiming to strengthen its role as a platform for leadership, cooperation, and innovation while upholding the shared values and collective spirit of its alumni community.
