The Textile Hackathon 2024 (Cohort-1) will culminate in its final workshop on December 12, 2024, at the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). This groundbreaking initiative seeks to transform Bangladesh’s RMG industry by encouraging students and early-career professionals to develop innovative, circular solutions. Participants will showcase prototypes tackling critical issues such as post-production waste and emissions reduction. Guided by circular design principles, their ideas aim to eliminate waste, regenerate resources, and establish sustainable supply chains.

The workshop will feature prototype evaluations by a panel of judges, selecting seven standout teams to advance to the Prototype Bazaar at the Sustainable Apparel Forum in February 2025, where the grand prize winner will be determined. This initiative highlights the potential of young innovators to address pressing environmental challenges and drive transformative change in the textile sector. Guests are encouraged to interact with the teams, providing valuable feedback and inspiration to the next generation of change makers.
