The Institution of Textile Engineers and Technologists (ITET) Bangladesh organized an Iftar and Doa Mahfil on 4 March at the Golf Garden area in the capital, bringing together professionals, industry leaders, and members of the textile and engineering community.

Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, MP and Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Textiles & Jute, attended the programme as the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the role of engineers and professionals in strengthening Bangladesh’s textile and apparel sector and emphasized the importance of collaboration and innovation to sustain the country’s growth in global trade.

Among the special guests were Mohammad Reazul Islam (Rezu), President of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh and Chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha, and Mohammad Hatem, President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association. They highlighted the growing importance of skilled professionals and technological advancement in further strengthening the country’s textile and knitwear industries.

The programme was presided over by Ehsanul Karim Kaiser, Convener of ITET Bangladesh. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of unity among engineers and professionals in the textile sector and the need to work collectively for the sustainable development of the industry.

The event brought together members of ITET, engineers, academics, and representatives from different sectors of the textile and apparel industry. A special doa was offered at the end of the programme, seeking peace, prosperity, and continued progress for Bangladesh and its people. The gathering concluded with Iftar and a networking session among the participants.
