On February 14, 2025 The Textile Youth Carnival 2.5, organized by the Textile Engineers Society (TES), was successfully held at the National Archives Auditorium, Agargaon, Dhaka. The event was marked by the presence of esteemed industry experts and the enthusiastic participation of young textile students and professionals, making it a memorable occasion.

The event was presided over by Md. Rifatur Rahman Miazee, Founder of Textile Engineers Society (TES). He stated: “Textile Youth Carnival is not just an event; it is a platform for young minds to learn, network, and prepare for real-world industry challenges. We aim to expand this initiative in the future so that the next generation becomes more skilled and confident.”

Vidiya Amrit Khan, Deputy Managing Director, Desh Garments Ltd., and Former Director, BGMEA, shared her insights: “The future of the textile industry lies in the hands of young professionals. Events like this not only enhance their skills but also prepare them to tackle real industry challenges. In today’s competitive market, academic knowledge alone is not enough—practical experience and skill development are crucial. One of the most anticipated segments was the Industry Panel Discussion, where expert guests discussed the current challenges, future prospects, and career-building opportunities in the textile sector. Participants had the chance to engage directly with the panelists, gaining valuable real-world insights.

At the CV Booth, job seekers received live CV reviews and career guidance from Sumona Akter Mim, Lead – Talent Acquisition, SGS Bangladesh and Ayesha Yesmin Jui, Asst. Manager-HR and Admin of Fashion Asia Ltd. This session provided students with essential advice on how to refine their resumes and prepare for the job market.

The event also featured a Fashion Show, where young designers showcased their innovative and creative designs, highlighting the future of the textile industry and sustainable fashion trends. The students presented their self-designed outfits, impressing the audience with their talent and vision.

A Practical Problem-Solving Session allowed participants to demonstrate their skills in tackling real-world textile industry challenges. Additionally, the Creative Presentation Segment had 12 teams perform humorous and industry-related skits and dialogues, captivating the audience with their engaging performances.

The Textile Engineers Society (TES) extends its heartfelt gratitude to all guests, participants, sponsors, and volunteers. TES will continue to organize more innovative and educational events in the future, ensuring a brighter path for the textile industry.
