Textiles & Jute Minister Mr. Jahangir Kabir Nanak, to Graced Ambiente 2024 with Presence

 After an energetic five-day event, the premier trade fair Ambiente 2024 concluded. With 4,928 exhibitors, the largest global platform for consumer goods showcased the latest trends. This one-stop shop, which hosted participants from 170 nations, emphasized themes like design, digitalization, new work, and sustainability.

Mr. Jahangir Kabir Nanak – Textile and Jute Minister, H.E Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan – Bangladesh Ambassador to Germany, Mr. Saiful Islam – Minister (Commercial) of the Bangladesh Embassy in Berlin, Mr. Omer Salahuddin – Messe Frankfurt Bangladesh and Mr. Rashedul Karim Munna – MD of Creation Pvt Ltd. visited the (Export Promotion Bureau) EPB stand at Ambiente 2024.

58 Bangladeshi exhibitors represented the nation at the fair. In Hall 12.0 (Dining), industry leaders such as Paragon Ceramics, Artisan Ceramics, and Protik Ceramics showcased their products. Additionally, other notable companies, including BD Creation, Prokritee, Dhaka Handicraft, RFL Plastic, and Golden Jute, were featured in Halls 10.1, 10.4, 11.0, and 11.1 (Giving & Living).

After India the Bangladesh participation was the biggest from South Asia with a wide range of products. Bangladesh has been participating in Ambiente for many years and a number of industries have been developed from this participation such as ceramics and jute products.

The ‘Export Promotion Bureau’ has been supporting the growth of exports in Handicrafts, Decorative Items, and Kitchen Accessories by providing subsidized stalls. This initiative allows small and medium exporters, including SK Handicrafts, Saidpur Enterprises, and Craft & Design, to exhibit their products at the world’s largest consumer fair, thereby enhancing their export opportunities.

Bangladesh, renowned for its expertise in manufacturing jute and handicrafts, is showcasing its unique creations at Ambiente.

Mr. Anwar Hossain, the General Manager of International Marketing at Bengal Polymer, mentioned that, as usual, they received a very positive response from the fair. Visitors came from all around the world, and they secured numerous buyers from various countries.

Mr. Mamunur Rashid, Chief Executive Officer of Artisan Ceramics, provided insights into the fair, emphasizing its positive progress compared to the previous year. He underscored the substantial presence of potential buyers from diverse backgrounds, emphasizing their crucial role in the fair’s success. Additionally, he expressed optimism and anticipation for prosperous business collaborations with them in the future.
