The 21st Dhaka Int’l Yarn & Fabric Show 2024 – Winter Edition organized by CEMS-Global USA and CCPIT-Tex China kicked off at ICCB Dhaka on 06th March 2024. This esteemed Exhibition focused on the Textile and Garment Industry of Bangladesh was inaugurated by Mr. Lokman Hossain Miah, Executive Chairman (Senior Secretary) of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) who was present as the Chief Guest.
Also present as Special Guests were Mr. Faruque Hassan, President of Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA); Mr. Md. Amin Helaly, Senior Vice President of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI); Mr. Md. Nuruzzaman, Director General (Additional Secretary) of Department of Textiles – Ministry of Textiles and Jute; Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Director General of the Export Promotion Bureau of Bangladesh; Mr. Akhter Hossain Apurba, Vice President of the Bangladesh Knitwear Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BKMEA); and Mr. Song Yang, Commercial Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Bangladesh. The hosts of the Opening Ceremony were Ms. Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS-Global and Mr. Zhang Tao, Vice President & Secretary General of The Sub- Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT China.
Meherun N. Islam, President and Group Managing Director of CEMS-Global gave her welcome speech and said, “We have organized several exhibitions and there was a great response from the traders. In continuation of that, we organized 21st Dhaka International Yarn and Fabric Show Winter Edition and 6th Dhaka International Denim Show 2024.” Notably, more than 410 companies from 15 countries with more than 550 booths has taken part in this international exhibition to showcase their new designs, newest trends, and innovative technological breakthroughs in textiles for the benefit of Bangladesh’s entire RMG industry, she added.
