The Department of Textile Engineering, NUB Hosts Vibrant Fruits Festival.

The Department of Textile Engineering at Northern University Bangladesh organized a colorful Fruit Festival on 28 June 2026, bringing together distinguished university leaders, faculty members, and academic administrators in a celebration of seasonal fruits, healthy living, and departmental unity.

The event was graced by Professor Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh as the Chief Guest. Among the distinguished attendees were Prof. Dr. (Engr.) Md. Mostafizurn Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering and Treasurer, Md. Raihan ul Masood, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Dr. Md. Mizanur Rahman, Professor and Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Abul Kasem Md. Mohiuddin. Director, AE and Development, Mohammad Jashim Uddin, Associate Professor of the Department of English and Electronic Engineering, along with faculty members from different departments.

The festival was chaired by G.M Foysal, Head of the Department of Textile Engineering, who welcomed the guests and highlighted the importance of collaborative and engaging academic culture beyond the classroom. A vibrant display of a wide variety of seasonal and locally grown fruits added color and warmth to the occasion, creating a festive and refreshing atmosphere. The carefully arranged fruit exhibits reflected Bangladesh’s rich agricultural diversity while promoting healthy dietary habits and appreciation for local produce.

Addressing the gathering, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor and the Dean highly appreciated the initiative taken by the Department of Textile Engineering and encourage to continue organizing such innovative and meaningful events in the future. They emphasized that activities promoting faculty interaction and well-being play a vital role in strengthening academic communities and nurturing a positive institutional environment.

The enthusiastic participation of faculty members and the thoughtful organization of the festival made the event a memorable success. Amid the demands of academic life, the Fruit Festival offered a unique opportunity for colleagues to interact in an informal and welcoming setting, reinforcing professional relationships and departmental camaraderie. The Department of Textile Engineering reaffirmed its commitment to organizing more creative and participatory initiatives that contribute to a vibrant, inclusive, and dynamic academic environment at Northern University Bangladesh.
