Tom Tailor CEO’s First Visit to Bangladesh Highlights Fakir Fashion’s Innovation & Sustainability

Fakir Fashion Ltd. recently had the honor of welcoming the top leadership of German lifestyle brand Tom Tailor on their first-ever CEO visit to Bangladesh. Mr. Gernot Lenz, Chief Executive Officer of Tom Tailor, was joined by Mr. Bastian Retterath (Director of Buying, Sourcing & Sustainability), Ms. Fikreta Tutic Kicki (Country Director)

The delegation toured Fakir Fashion’s state-of-the-art facilities and witnessed firsthand the company’s advances in fabric research, design innovation, and sustainable manufacturing practices. Their visit culminated in the inauguration of FStudio Bangladesh, Fakir Fashion’s new hub for creative and product development, where the team showcased the company’s latest styling and R&D advancements.

The visit is especially significant as it marks the first time the Tom Tailor CEO has visited a Bangladeshi textile manufacturer, underscoring the growing importance of the country’s apparel sector as a global hub for responsible, innovative production.

By opening its doors to Tom Tailor’s leadership, Fakir Fashion not only demonstrated its capabilities in design, styling, and sustainable manufacturing, but also laid the foundation for future collaborations that will strengthen the partnership between both companies.

As Fakir Fashion continues to push forward in sustainability and innovation, the visit reaffirms Bangladesh’s position as a key player in world-class apparel manufacturing and highlights the opportunities that lie ahead in creating value-driven, sustainable fashion.
