T&T Industries Corporation Strengthens Footprint in Bangladesh’s Textile Dye and Auxiliary Market

T&T Industries Corporation is a leading name in textile dyestuffs and chemical solutions, known for its strong legacy of innovation and quality since its establishment in 1969 in Taiwan. As a pioneer in dye manufacturing, the company has played a vital role in strengthening the global textile supply chain by producing high-performance dyes for natural and synthetic fibers. With advanced production facilities and strict adherence to international standards, T&T ensures consistent quality and reliability. Its product range includes disperse, acid, direct, and basic dyes. Committed to sustainability, the company integrates eco-friendly practices, making it a trusted global partner in textile innovation.

Recently, Team Textile Focus conversed with Eugene Wang, General Manager and Executive Assistant to the Chairman of T&T Industries Corporation, to gain insights into the company’s legacy, global expansion, and innovations in textile dyestuffs. The discussion highlighted T&T’s commitment to sustainable dyeing solutions, technological advancement, and its evolving role in supporting the international textile and apparel industry. Textile Focus: Could you briefly introduce T&T Industries Corporation and its product portfolio?

Eugene Wong: T&T Industries Corporation is a Taiwan-based textile manufacturing company with over 60 years of history. Our journey began in the 1940s, when my grandfather started as a buyer, and in 1969, he established the company as a manufacturing unit. Since then, we have evolved into a global supplier, exporting to more than 38 countries. Initially, our core expertise was in CDB ties, particularly for shoe fabrics, which helped us build a strong foundation in the industry. Over time, we have diversified our portfolio significantly. Today, we offer a wide range of textile solutions, catering to both cotton and synthetic segments. Our focus has always been on delivering consistent quality while adapting to the changing needs of global markets.

Textile Focus: What would you say is the main strength of T&T products?

Eugene Wong: Our main strength lies in quality, consistency, and reliability. Since all our manufacturing is done in Taiwan, we maintain strict quality control standards, ensuring that our products meet international benchmarks. Over the years, this consistency has helped us build long-term trust with our customers.  Another key strength is our technical expertise. With decades of experience, we understand the practical challenges manufacturers face and can provide solutions that go beyond simply supplying products. Additionally, with our recent localization efforts in Bangladesh, we can now combine global-quality products with faster delivery, local stock availability, and direct technical support. This combination gives us a strong competitive edge.

Textile Focus: How do you view the Bangladesh textile market?

Eugene Wong: Bangladesh is one of the most important and promising textile markets in the world today. The country has built a very strong ecosystem around garment manufacturing, supported by skilled labor and a well-developed supply chain. Around 70% of the market is cotton-based, with the remaining portion synthetic, reflecting the country’s production strength. What stands out is that nearly 80% of the country’s economy is directly or indirectly connected to textiles. This level of focus makes Bangladesh highly competitive globally. Compared to Taiwan, where many textile businesses are gradually declining, Bangladesh continues to grow and invest in this sector. I believe the country has a very strong future, especially over the next 10 to 15 years.

Textile Focus: How is T&T planning to support the Bangladesh textile industry?

Eugene Wong: Supporting Bangladesh is a key strategic priority for us. In the past one to two years, we have shifted our focus toward building a strong local presence. We are establishing a full operational setup here, including a local office, a warehouse with a capacity of up to 200 tons, and a dedicated quality control team. This allows us to keep stock locally and deliver products within hours, which significantly improves efficiency for our customers. In addition, we are establishing a laboratory in Bangladesh, with support from our headquarters in Taiwan. This ensures that customers receive the same level of technical support and quality assurance locally. Our goal is to be more than just a supplier; we want to be a long-term partner contributing to the industry’s growth.

Textile Focus: Can you tell us about your R&D capabilities and product range?

Eugene Wong: Our R&D operations are primarily based in Taiwan, where we continuously invest in innovation, product development, and quality improvement. Our facilities are equipped with advanced technology and staffed by experienced professionals who develop solutions that meet evolving industry requirements. At the same time, we are extending these capabilities to Bangladesh by establishing a local laboratory supported by our headquarters. This ensures that customers here have access to high-level testing, development, and technical consultation. In terms of product range, we offer a wide variety of solutions across both cotton and synthetic segments. Our flexibility allows us to adapt to different applications and customer needs, ensuring that we remain relevant in a rapidly changing market.

Textile Focus: What message would you like to share with the textile industry?

Eugene Wong: My key message is to focus on preserving and strengthening the core textile industry, especially in a country like Bangladesh. While global trends and high-margin industries may seem attractive, it is important not to lose sight of the foundation that has driven growth for decades. Taiwan’s experience shows that shifting too quickly away from traditional industries can lead to long-term challenges, including the decline of the textile sector. Bangladesh, on the other hand, has built a very strong textile ecosystem that supports millions of livelihoods. I believe the country should continue to invest in quality, sustainability, and local expertise rather than trying to imitate other markets too aggressively. By doing so, Bangladesh can maintain its global leadership in textiles. The future here is very bright, and T&T Industries is committed to being a part of that journey.
